It’s been over a month since the Celestial Steed Mount hit the World of Warcraft store and been made available to WoW players. It hasn’t been that long but by the looks of things, the general WoW population have reverted back to the usual mounts they were comfortable in using before the shiny celestial mount came out.
The first few days of release, everywhere you look there was someone riding one of these. It was bumper to bumper steed in major cities but now, the dazzling celestial steed stands out in the crowd, just like how it should be!
I knew this mount would be perfect for my Barbie doll Blood Elf Mage so my husband bought me one on the first day. Razzamatazz happily stashed her flying carpet in the bank to be replaced by this shiny winged horse.
Random Info about the Celestial Steed Mount:
- Apparantly, Blizzard made over $2 million dollars on the first few hours of this mount being released.
- It’s born from the Twisting Nether, which is in the Outlands part of the World of Warcraft.
- The speed of this mount is capable of going up to 310% if the player has one other existing mount with 310% speed.
- Some of the reaction from WoW players when this came out was similar to a catastrophic event. The WoW forums were plagued with Hate and I Quit threads simply because people can now buy a mount to use in the game.
- When you buy a Celestial Steed, all the characters in your account will have it available as their mount. This even includes any characters you create in future. Awesome.
